JACKET-MiLiTARY Leather
WW2 MiLiTARY SPEC!
B-3 Sheepskin BoMBER
Hi ALTiTUDE! NEW!!!

JACKET-MiLiTARY Leather<br>WW2 MiLiTARY SPEC!<br>B-3 Sheepskin BoMBER<br>Hi ALTiTUDE! NEW!!!<br>

  Other Views

This beautiful MiLiTARY Spec B-3 Jacket is “AS NEW” (meaning unworn, in new condition). It is NOT the plastic faux leather B-3 jacket, or leather outside and polyester faux sheerling inside B-3 jacket, that sells on ebay or discount websites in the several hundred doLLar or less range.

It is an AUTHENTiC WW2 B-3 High ALTiTuDE Bomber Jacket made of Thick Sheepskin with full Sheerling interior (meaning the inside is the sheerling fur that is attached to the sheepskin leather from the SaMe animal--yes, vegetarians beWare, this is the real deal from a real sheep).

Also, This is NOT thin sheep leather that cracks and peels. And again, not the artificial sheerling on the inside, as you will find in lower price WW2 B-3 reproduction jackets.

This U.S. Army Air Force WW2 B-3 jacket is made to the original B-3 jacket Military Spec patterns in WW2. Thus it is made to MiLiTARY Sizing, which is generally one size trimmer/smaller than civilian sizes. This piece will easily and comfortably fit size 46 to 48 (military size, which is one size smaller than civilian sizes), or in Civilian Sizes this B-3 jacket will fit a size 44 to 46.

The basic inch measurements are: Back, from the bottom of the collar seam to the very end of the jacket 28"; armpit to armpit seam measured from the front at the bottom of the pit 25"; shoulder seam to shoulder seam at the top of the shoulder where it meets the sleeve 23 1/2". These are the basic inch measurements that truly tell the size of a military jacket, and should help along with the Military and Civilian sizing listed here.< Once again, ‘MiLSPEC’ means this B-3 jacket was cut to exact patterns of the U.S. MiLiTARY B-3 Bomber Jacket used by the U.S. Army Air Corps for B-17 and B-24 Bomber crews in WW2.

Proper MiLSPEC replica B-3 jackets of basic to excellent quality (not less expensive imitations) are going from a low end price of $400 to high end of $1200 or more. As can be seen from the pictures, and in person from the materials and construction, this piece ranks up there with the higher end B-3 jackets. It was originally made by one of the Milspec Replica companies under their own brand, and sold Exclusively at Wilson's Leather.

The jackets were too expensive to sell well at Wilson's, and i purchased this as Wilson's was discontinuing sales of this high end, authentic materials and Milspec pattern B-3 jacket. Purchased for myself with full tags, the B-3 jacket was not worn by me here in suNNy LaLaLand...so it is offered here at about 1/3 of it's current price (that the same manufacturer is selling under their own brand name.

I received this B-3 jacket new with outer tags, but the only inside tags are the made in the u.s. label and a 2XL size which reflects the Military Size (48) rather than the Civilian Size, which again is in the 44 to 46 range.

For your further sizing reference, I am 6’1” 180 lbs. with a 45” chest and 33” waist, and this jacket fits well, and also has room for a sweater underneath if you wish. I normally take a civilian size 44, or a Military Size 46, and this WW2 B-3 jacket fits nicely but not tight at all, if that helps.

As with all MiLiTARy Jackets, A-2, B-3, etc, there were at least several versions made. This is the U.S. MiLiTARY B-3 Jacket version (vs. the RAF B-3 Jacket). It is a later WW2 B-3 jacket version which included slash pockets (production of this style started in 1942) rather than just a front map pocket.

Below with pictures of this B-3 Jacket is a shot of Robert Wagner and Steve McQueen in their WW2 B-3 Jackets from some film. You can see that this is the same classic virtually stitch for stitch. However, McQueen’s and Wagner’s have a small flap at the top shoulder seam and a backside seam is placed differently, which is characteristic of one of the pre-1942 B-3 Jacket versions.

An interesting note is that THiS version B-3 Jacket was the one chosen to be customized for and by General George Patton as one of his most often worn pieces (clearly not in summer).

BeWaRE! This is not ONLY an AuthenTiC Replica of the WW2 U.S. B-3 MiLiTaRY Sheepskin Leather and Shearling Jacket, it is JuST as WaRM as the Original B-3 Jacket (which less expensive polyester faux interior versions are nOt). These B-3 jackets kept B-17 and B-24 crews from freezing in High Altitude skies over Europe. Very Cold skies in unpressurized planes!

Definitely a jacket where 60 degree or colder weather is necessary to enjoy this B-3 jacket. Remarkably comfortable, this B-3 jacket comes with authentically with throat and side buckles to cinch things down on your own bombing missions. In 60 to 50 degree weather this B-3 jacket can be worn without layering as it is so warm...but with a layer or two, who knows how cold you can go?

No condition issues with this B-3 U.S. MiLiTARY Spec WW2 Bomber Jacket as it is in ‘as new’ condition, meaning tried on by potential purchasers, but unworn. If you have any questions about size, or anything else, don’t hesitate to email. Because of the nature of our Vintage and “Like New” Jacket stock, we cannot accept size issue returns so please carefully read the size information. If you have any questions prior to purchase we are happy to answer them.

For reference, this B-3 MiLiTARY WW2 Bomber Jacket is seen on an anatomically correct fitting dummy (no, not me!) equal to a civilian size 44-46 or a Military size 46-48. Military sizing is trimmer than civvy size, and generally works out to be one size smaller.

The one thing I can guarantee is that with the MiL Spec accuracy of this piece, and the quality of materials and construction, the price here is at least half, and likely one third, the cost of what higher end Military Jacket manufacturers are charging. LAST of these INCREDiBLy RARE NeW OLD SToCK SQUARE-CASED DeeP DiVERS Left on the PLANET???

Maybe So! I have ONE GRAY Version and the BLUE Version has just sold to an incredibly astute collector...they have SwiSS 21 Jewel AuToMaTiC Date Movements...NeW OLD SToCK Unworn (NEVER Opened, that’s why I have not opened the Backs for pictures here)...with STiCKER STiLL on the Back...and VeRRRY RaRE MiD-SiZE 33millimeter wide by 39millimeter lug to lug SLAB SQUARE STEEL ScrewBack 600foot Dive Cases!

For Reference, this would be the Size of the ROLEX Mid-Size. For those Men who’ve wanted a Bona Fide DeeP DiVER Watch, but have not desired the ToYOTA-Size Case that comes with them, THiS is ‘the’ ANSWeR! I’m 6 Foot 185 pounds of Strapping Jerk, with a 7 ½" Wrist, and the thing works for me (though, as all of you know, I DO prefer a TOYOTA-Size watch on my wrist)...but aside from the SiZE, it is QuiTe a RaRE Version being BOTH Mid-SiZE and this VerrrY CoOoOoL SQUARE Case.

Now, i'm sure you all are wondering, 'what brand is CLaSSiC'? Like Heuer, Breitling, and many other brands of the 50s, 60s and 70s, 'Classic' was a brand using fine swiss movements and cases, and selling the product under their branded name. While Heuer and Breitling are two of the most famous companies that almost went under with the coming of the Japanese Quartz 'Revolution' (i prefer to call it 'Devolution'), many brands that put out a high grade Swiss product weren't as blessed as Heuer and Breitling to be snatched from the Siren's call of Quartz.

CLaSSiC was one that did not survive, but the watches they put out used the same high grade swiss movements and super water-resistant cases as are evident in this model. Again, i do not know which caliber and manufacturer Swiss movement are in these as they are Super Sealed New Old Stock and i did not wish to scratch them opening for a photo, but with them comes a guaranteed return offer if the movement is not all swiss made...most likely being an ETA, A.Schilds or higher grade offering of the period.

They Come on the Original Straps (Blue has a Plastic, Gray has a brown leather), working PuRRRFectly (tho they’ve never been serviced so I recommend that prior to wearing much).

Along with the AMAZiNG Size and LooX, these have the Bi-Directional Dive Timer Bezel, a BiG ThiCK RETRO BuBBLE Crystal (tho not Retro when it was made)...AND of ALL Things...a ROLEX-Style Date window! What more could you ask for (I’d throw in the Ocean to Jump into with this piece, but shipping would be difficult).

Last but not least, if you want both I’ll throw in FREE Shipping ANYwhere in the world (but hopefully you’ll live down the block from me so I don’t take a bath on that deaL).

NOTE: The BACK as well as the whole watch is Pristine...but the Original Sticker on the back is a bit GunKY (it all comes off). ALSO, did I mention this has a Signed-Crown? KeWL! eMail Us to buy! LEGENDaRY Indian GURKHA
British FiGHTiNG Units
MiLiTARY Watch
MiNTY NeW OLD SToCK
SuPaH RaRE!

RaRE BRiTiSH Issue<br>GURKHAN MiLitARY watch<br>‘62 Indonesian campaign<br>MiNTY NeW OLD SToCK

  Other Views

This is as CoooooL a find as one hopes to make going through WaTCH Websites on the Net...and You my MiLiTARY Watch NUT are in trouble because You wiLL have to Have One of these!

Three MiNTY NeW OLD SToCK British MiLiTaRY Watches, Issued with Brit ORDNANCE Numbers but Never worn (though countless of THiS specific watch were worn in the Indonesian conflict). ALL STeeL, I have 2 DiaL Versions of these British MiLiTARY Watches(only One of the ALL Number DiaL seen below). These are 36 mm diameter not including lugs, the manufacturer name of “HMT”, they have a fascinating history...and here it is…

I was originally informed this model was a British Military Watch from the 1962 Indonesian campaign. Researching it I found this was a Legendary GURKHAN Soldier’s (JAWAN) watch! These were also used by the regular Brit troops in Indonesia, however, they were generally issued to the GURKHAN Troops in the campaign, the “GURKS“ being among the crème de la crème of ELiTE Troops not only in the British Military, but of all times.

JAWAN is the term for an Indian Soldier, which is inscribed on the dial. For those who know MiLiTARY Legend, you know the GURKHA. For those who don’t, they are LeGeNDARY INDiAN Fierce fighting Units who fought alongside the British going back to before WW1, when India was part of the Crown Empire. Here is an excerpt from a history of the Gurkhas to give an idea: “In the two World Wars the Gurkha Brigade suffered 43,000 casualties, and to date it has won 26 Victoria Crosses – 13 by Gurkhas and 13 by British Officers. This short chronicle is of necessity brief and factual. It cannot adequately portray the spirit and the character of the Gurkha soldier, nor can it reflect the ‘esprit de corps’ and the bond of comradeship and mutual respect which bind together the British and Gurkha officers and men of the Brigade.”

Additionally, Famed British Field Marshal Sir William Slim recounted: ““I first met the 6th Gurkha Rifles in 1915 in Gallipoli. There I was so struck by their bearing in one of the most desperate battles in history that I resolved, should the opportunity come, to try to serve with them. Four years later it came, and I spent many of the happiest, and from a military point of view the most valuable, years of my life in the Regiment”.

OK, enough history, I’ll leave the rest to the History Channel. Suffice to say, the GURKHA sit with GREEN Berets, NAVY SeaLs, British Special Forces, U.S. Rangers, etc. at the table of the World’s ELiTe Military. NOW, the Watch…

Made for GURKHAN Units, with the term “JAWAN” meaning Indian Soldier, and having the BRiTiSH Broad Arrow and British MiLiTARY Ordnance numbers on the back, this piece dates to the Indonesian Conflict of ‘62. In a fascinating turn of Military sourcing, the Movement appears to be SLAVA Caliber 1809, a manual wind exceedingly rugged caliber. The rub is that SLAVA was a Russian (or in 1962) Soviet, watch manufactory. “HMT“ apparently used Soviet Made movements for British Forces fighting Communism in Indonesia. C'est la vie, n'est pas?

This is a 17-jewel caliber that is superbly accurate and bulletproof (well, maybe not literally), ALL STeeL screwBack case. Also states “para shock”, not a reference to any sort of paramilitary shock troops, but rather the shock absorption system of the movement.

The beautiful functionally styled case is 44mm lug to lug, and 36mm diameter without the crown. Very clean, these are all NeW OLD SToCK, NeVeR WoRN, with only the original marks of manufacturing and a few light surface marks here and there of storage. The DiaL and Movement are Pristing MiNT (though the GLO stuff no longer glows), and with light evidence of storage over the years, the Cases are at 98%. On the screwBack are the British MiLiTARY Broad Arrow and Ordnance Numbers that can be seen below in the picture.

These come on NU BLaCK Canvas Military Straps of the sort they would have been issued with. Note, this piece is eXTremely RaRE. As of Dec. 2004 there were ONLY 3,300 Gurkha in the British Command. There are not many Military Watches that have been documentably attached to these Legendary fighters.

As Sir Ralph Turner MC (Professor of Sanskrit at the University of London, Fellow of Christ’s College Cambridge and Adjutant of the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Queen Alexandra’s Own Gurkha Rifles) himself said in 1931 of the GURKHA: “Uncomplaining you endure hunger and thirst and wounds; and at the last your unwavering lines disappear into the smoke and wrath of battle. Bravest of the brave, most generous of the generous, never had a country more faithful friends than you”.

Probably should be in a museum...this piece of history is available for you, but won‘t last! Have 2 of the Dot and Number Dial, and only One of the Full Number Dial.
